TiMi Studio Announces Age Of Empires Mobile, Coming To Android and iOS This Year

Microsoft’s classic real-time strategy hit, Age of Empires, is coming to mobile devices later this year courtesy of Xbox subsidiary and Call of Duty: Mobile developer TiMi Studio Group. Age of Empires Mobile promises the same gameplay mechanics as the original game plus multiplayer features like player vs. player sieges.

“Age of Empires Mobile is a new chapter for the illustrious franchise, customized for mobile play with a broad array of exciting elements from the existing series, as well as new features to assure strategic, simulated battles across a variety of modes,” reads the announcement press release.

Real-time strategy games usually translate well to mobile devices so it shouldn’t be a problem for Age of Empires, especially with TiMi Studio at the helm. The Chinese developer has build a reputation for producing top-quality mobile games including Pokémon Unite, Arena of Valor, and Honor of Kings.

Age of Empires Mobile is expected to start public testing soon with pre-registrations now open on the official site.
