Aion 5.0 Update - Echoes of Eternity Coming Soon

NCSoft announced early last month that Aion 5.0: Echoes of Eternity is set to launch "soon". We forgot to cover this news when it first came out so we're hitting it now. Players will have a chance to travel back to the tower of Eternity in this latest expansion. Some of the key highlights of the expansion include:

An increased level cap of 75
New instance: Archives of Eternity (Takes place inside the Tower of Eternity)
New Zones: Norsvold and Iluma
More details to be revealed soon

Despite being over 6 years old, Aion is still going strong in its home country in South Korea. The game currently sits at the #6 spot on the most played MMORPGs list in South Korea as of June, 2016, trailing Blade and Soul and Lineage.

Unfortunately the only thing we know is that the 5.0 update is set to launch "soon". There's no release schedule available just yet.
