Albion Online Going Free to Play on April 10th

Sandbox Interactive announced today that their fantasy PvP heavy sandbox MMORPG Albion Online will be going free to play on April 10th, 2019. The free to play transition shouldn't be surprising as the game has been slowly losing players since its launch back in July, 2017.

From April 10 on, everybody can join the ranks of our vast community of adventurers in exploring the world of Albion – on any platform, free of charge, with no limitations.

And for our veteran players, we have an exclusive thank-you gift: the incredible Specter Wolf mount. The Specter Wolf has all the stats of a Direwolf with a unique ghostly appearance, and only accounts that have a Founder or Starter Pack redeemed and active on April 10 at 10:00 UTC will qualify for this.

In addition to that, there will be a ten-day Fame boost starting after maintenance on April 1 and ending with maintenance on April 10. The Mists of Albion buff will be active, giving a 25% boost to all Fame earned through ingame activities (excluding Fame from Tomes), so don't miss this huge opportunity to unlock some new gear and raise your specs!
