Albion Online's State Of The Game - October

With preparations gearing up for the Closed Beta launch of Albion Online on November 23rd Sandbox Interactive has released a blog post detailing what they've been working on and what players can expect in the future.  We previously reported the latest highlight video showing off the game's Laborers system—where players hire NPC's to gather resources and craft. But the report delves beyond singular systems and gives an overview of development from Art Director Marcus Koch and Game Director Robin Henkys.

Highlights include client improvements, a refined Destiny Board, and the finished Land Auction system—where "you will have to compete in auctions for city plots against other players which brings a touch of economic PvP into the game."

The Quarterstaff has been introduced to the world (making me reminisce about SoulCalibur), along with revamped abilities and reworked animations. And a number of art assets have been implemented or changed to bolster new combat moves and the NPC laborers.

A number of community questions were also answered at the bottom of the post. If you're interested in reading up on all of the changes you can expect in the closed beta of Albion Online head to the official post.

Players who want to participate in the closed beta will have to make sure they secure a Founder's Pack.
