2D Retro MMORPG Arcane Waters Launches Into Early Access Ahead Of Schedule
Black Mammoth Games just can’t wait to get Arcane Waters into the hands of their players as the 2D retro MMORPG launches into early access a day ahead of schedule. The game’s early access launch was originally scheduled to launch tomorrow, November 15th but went live earlier today on Steam.
Arcane Waters features classic turn-based combat mechanics, naval battles, PvP, a guild system, and other non-combat activities such as farming and the ability to own and decorate houses. The game will set you back $19.99 on Steam and is expected to leave early access sometime in 2023 with more regions, quests, items, and content to be added along the way.
“We plan to use Early Access to complete the final set of our 7 regions for the game, each with unique quests, items, and foes. We’ll also develop and test the meta-game with the community,” Black Mammoth said. “This way we ensure proper balance and engagement for both new and more seasoned players.”
Reception to the game is currently “Mostly Positive” on Steam with players lauding its fun gameplay mechanics, retro art style, and the amount of content available for an early access game.
