ArcheAge And ArcheAge Unchained Starts Server Merge, Fresh Start Server Opening Later This Month
The ArcheAge and ArcheAge Unchained “Server Evolution” has begun. Server Evolution is XLGames’ fancy term for merging servers together to balance the EU and NA server populations beginning with ArcheAge Unchained.
Unchained servers have already been taken down and will remain offline until March 6. Once the process is complete, the devs will be bringing the EU and NA servers back online at different times in order to control queues and reduce waiting wait times for the newly-merged servers. ArcheAge servers will follow on March 11.
The battle for coveted land area in the game, known as Land Rush, will kick off on March 13 for ArcheAge Unchained and March 20 for the original game. The exact times of the event have yet to be announced.
Players who aren’t happy with the merge will be given a chance to start anew in a Fresh Start server that will be opening its doors on March 25. European and North American players will each get a new server to populate as they please. As with previous Fresh Starts, Instances and the Auction House will be entirely separate from the older servers.
If you'’re thinking about getting into the game, Gamigo is permanently offering a free three-day trial so you can take ArcheAge Unchained out for a test run before you decide to open your wallet. More information can be found on the ArcheAge official site.
