Ark: Survival Evolved PS4 Won't Be Cross-Platform

Ark: Survival Evolved on PS4 will not be seeing cross-platform play between Xbox One players, despite cross-platform features having been already developed and ready to go.

We have it working internally, but currently Sony won't allow it 🙁

Sony has ruled that cross-platform play will not be allowed, on the moral grounds that they are contractually responsible for keeping younger audiences away from potentially harmful influences on the internet.

"We have a contract with the people who go online with us, that we look after them and they are within the PlayStation curated universe. Exposing what in many cases are children to external influences we have no ability to manage or look after, it's something we have to think about very carefully."

No Xbox scum allowed.

Clearly by banning cross-platform play, Sony only has your best interests at heart. THINK OF THE CHILDREN.
