ARK: Survival Evolved's Console Versions Get The TEK Tier Today, 1 Million PS4 Sales
It's been just over two weeks since ARK: Survival Evolved's TEK Tier made it to the PC version of the game. Surprisingly, the console versions of the game are already getting the update, having gone live earlier today.
For those that don't know, the TEK Tier adds an assortment of new content, including weapons, armor, gear, and "dinosaur mounted laser cannons." Characters' hair now grows in real-time and players are required to cut it at various intervals. As always, the update also came with several new creatures: the Baryonyx Aquafulgur, theBasilosaurus Solatiumfecit, theOvis Aries, and thePurlovia Maxima. With these additions, ARK now has 96 different types of creature in all.
Additionally, it was revealed today that, despite being a $59.99 bundle on PS4, ARK has sold a staggering one million copies on Sony's platform since its launch on December 6th, 2016 and was the top-selling game on the PlayStation Network throughout December 2016 and January 2017.
