MMORPG Shooter Ashfall Plans Next Beta Test This Winter With English Voiceovers

NetEase and Legendary Star Studio have been running intermittent beta tests throughout the year for their upcoming post-apocalyptic MMORPG shooter Ashfall. Having just concluded the latest round of testing, the team is now looking forward to the next closed beta test which is expected to take place sometime in December or January.

In the meantime, the developers have released a post-CBT Q&A where they revealed their vision for the game and the changes that they plan to make in the lead up to its release in summer 2024. They revealed ongoing work on additional multiplayer features that will build on the existing three-player dungeons and PvP modes. Matchmaking will be cross-server but market and guild features will be server-exclusive.

The team is also working on weapon recoil, a climbing skill, improvements to AI competence, and graphics optimization. English voiceovers have also been confirmed for the next closed beta test. The playtest will be available in multiple regions on both PC and mobile.
