Atlas Reactor Goes Back To Being Free-To-Play On January 17th

I know what you're thinking; the flip-flopping of Atlas Reactor's business model is getting quite confusing, isn't it? First, it's free-to-play. Then, it is decided during Closed Beta that it will be buy-to-play. Then they add a free trial of sorts anyways, but it's extremely limited and those that don't pay can't take part in ranked matches. And now, according to a Producer's Letter that went out over the weekend, it's going to be free-to-play again when Season 2 begins on January 17th.

Only a few small changes with rather large implications have been announced as of yet. Free-to-play players will be able to purchase freelancers individually, as well as earn them by simply playing the game. They will also be able to take part in ranked matches, as well.

More details about Season 2 and the move to free-to-play will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can find the Producer's Letter in question here.
