neverwinter infernal descent keyart bannerNeverwinter players can now journey to the first layer of the Nine Hells, make deals with devils, and bargain with demons in the latest major update for the fantasy MMORPG - Infernal Descent. Infernal Descent is inspired by the tabletop game Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus and brings with it a new endgame campaign specifically made for level 80 players which includes access to a new zone and a new endgame dungeon.

“In Infernal Descent, Vallenhas Manor has been ripped from Faerûn and pulled into the fiery depths of Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells, during the ongoing conflict between devils and demons known as the Blood War. Players must team up with two new heroes, the Paladin Alric Vallenhas and the Bard Etrien Sael, along with heroes of yore for a grand adventure through the Nine Hells to save the people of Vallenhas Estate from the infernal machinations of the archdevil Zariel.”

The update also introduces two new story instances: “A House in Need” and “The Last Bastion”, along with new characters, enemies, equipment, and more. You’ll find the full patch notes on the Neverwinter official site.
