Banshee Queen ‘Cliodhna’ Is The Next SMITE Goddess, Watch The New Cinematic Trailer

Following Charybdis’ SMITE debut last month, Hi-Rez is once again paving the way for the addition of a new goddess – the Banshee Queen Cliodhna. In Irish mythology, Cliodhna is the ruler of fairy women although some stories portray her as the goddess of love and beauty. Hi-Rez’ version of Cliodhna, however, paints a much darker picture of the Celtic goddess.

“A first in SMITE, this ghostly Assassin from the Celtic Pantheon can walk through and inside walls. From there, Cliodhna lurks unseen. When she strikes, her blood-curdling wail deafens her horrified prey and distorts their sight. Much of her power comes from the afterworld, and she can tear at the veil between worlds to release an army of unspeakable horrors.”
