Step Back Into WWII In The Battlefield 5 Reveal Trailer
The Battlefield 5 reveal trailer is out and it’s not exactly what you would expect. It’s action-packed, it’s visually impressive, and it’s also terribly confusing. The latest title in the Battlefield franchise takes players back to WWII. You’ve got flying bullets, explosions, planes falling from the sky, and soldiers dying which is standard-fare for most WWII shooters. There are also soldiers jumping from second story windows, grenades being shot out in mid air, and a British lady fighting with a prosthetic arm.
“Enter mankind’s greatest conflict with Battlefield V as the series goes back to its roots with a never-before-seen portrayal of World War 2. Assemble your Company of customized soldiers, weapons, and vehicles – then take them on an epic journey through the Tides of War. Experience the most intense, immersive Battlefield yet. You will never be the same.”
The trailer itself is definitely eye candy. Battlefield 1 looked awesome, Battlefield 5 looks even better. What the trailer is meant to reveal, however, is up for debate. It’s a chaotic mix of cinematics and what could be actual gameplay, coupled with squad play, more explosions, and steampunk wardrobe thrown in for good measure.
Battlefield 5 launches on October 19th for PlayStation 4 and PC, October 16th for Deluxe Edition Early Enlisters, and October 11th for EA Access and Origin Access subscribers. Check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think in the comments section.
