EA Says Battlefield 5 Will Be Devoid Of Lootboxes And Premium Passes
There's nothing more annoying than shelling out you hard-earned money on a game only to find out that you had to pay even more to unlock "exclusive" content. Amid the industry-wide controversy concerning lootboxes and after the PR backlash that Electronic Arts took with Star Wars Battlefront II’s business model, the publishing giant has opted to do away with lootboxes and any form of premium content and monetization for Battlefield 5.
No loot boxes. No Premium Pass. All players have access to the same maps and modes in #Battlefield V. Keep your squad together, no matter the front. pic.twitter.com/0aY17Jh68r

Are we finally going back to the long lost era of video games, one without lootboxes and premium content? I highly doubt it. EA might just be looking for new ways to monetize their games or maybe their just waiting for the whole lootbox issue to blow over. Let us know what you think in the comments section.
