Black Desert Online players on console will have to wait a bit longer to gain access to new content as Pearl Abyss shifts its focus to optimizing the game. All content updates have been put on hold for the time being, including Maegu Awakening and mythical horses. Other upcoming content updates like the Thundercloud Kutum and Stormbringer Karanda world bosses have also been subsequently delayed.

Pearl Abyss’s efforts to optimize the nearly-ten-year-old fantasy MMORPG began with the release of the Land of the Morning Light update back in June and its new combat styles and cutscene-oriented storylines. The studio, however, will apparently need more time to work on and deploy planned improvements.

The team is also working on various adjustments to in-game activities, interface updates, and ways to improve the accessibility of enhancement materials, all of which are geared towards enhancing the overall game experience for console players.

Maegu’s Awakening and mythical horses are now expected to arrive on October 4th. In the meantime, you’ll just have to sit back and wait, content in the knowledge that Pearl Abyss is working hard to improve the console experience.
