Black Desert Online Gets Rare Reusable Potions & A New Ship Skill In The Latest Update

Black Desert Online has just been updated with a long list of class and item changes that includes the addition of a strong energy burst that hits surrounding monsters when you level up. The latest update also adds a new quest to earn a pair of rare reusable potions.

“Many of you have been waiting to achieve a new rare item in Black Desert Online after Lafi Bedmountain's Upgraded Compass and the Archaeologist's Map, that is why starting today you will be able to go in search of a new special item: Ornette's Spirit Essence and Odore's Spirit Essence! Good luck in the search of these never-ending potions!”

To obtain the potions, players must collect relics by defeating monsters in various regions across Kamasylvia and Drieghan, and by paying a visit to Merindora, the eldest Spirit of Kamasylvia. Once the relics are complete, they must then arrange and combine them in a certain order in their inventory to get the reusable potions. “We wanted to provide such a challenging process as a big goal for players to enjoy,” says the devs. “We wanted to provide a new rare item that all of our players would love and chase after, and it is known as a ‘treasure’ among the developers and the concept of this new treasure is ‘a never-ending potion.’”

Naval battles have also received a number of major updates. Ships now have the new FocusFire Skill that will make hitting targets with cannons much easier. A new treasure item has also been added that, once equipped, will allow Epheria Carracks to use the BreezySail skill twice in a row. Four new types of sailors are also now available for recruiting.
