Black Desert Online Is Headed To Steam On May 24th

Kakao Games Europe announced today that Black Desert Online will be launching on Steam in North America and Europe on May 24th. Those who would like to add it to their wishlists can do so via the Steam store page, which is already live.

I imagine, however, that current owners of the game will not be receiving a Steam key. According to the official Steam FAQ that was posted today, "pre-existing accounts will not be able to migrate or sync their accounts with a Steam account." This is unfortunate, given the fact that many other companies have opted to allow players to merge their Steam accounts with accounts that were created through their own services, but it's not entirely unheard of.

Additionally, the Steam version of Black Desert Online will support both achievements and trading cards. It will also be able to make use of both the Steam Controller and Steam Link.
