Black Desert Online Increases Character Slot Expansion Cap And Adds Remote Installation For Guilds

Pearl Abyss is paving the way for the major class reboot coming to Black Desert Online later this month with a small but still significant update. Headlining the latest update is an increase in the maximum of character slots that can be unlocked using Character Slot Expansion Coupons. Players can now unlock up to 26 character slots with plans to bump up the cap to 28 slots in a future update.

Another change worth noting is the addition of a remote installation feature for forts and annexes that can be used by guilds participating in Node Wars. The new feature can only be used on the server that the Node War will be held in and can only be used by guild members with the authority to build annexes such as the Guild Master, Officers, Advisors, Quartermasters, and Cannoneers. Note that you can only build annexes if you already have a fort installed in the node. Players must also have forts and annexes in their inventory to be able to install them.

“Forts and annexes may be difficult to be built in nodes with areas of high altitude like the Elder's Bridge, Ivory Wasteland, and Acher Guard Post,” warns the devs. “This is will be improved upon in a later update.”

Meanwhile, several new in-game events are now live in the game, including the Post-CalpheON Ball Drop Rate Hot Time and Playtime Challenges and the Shai Winter Concert.

“For the second iteration of the Shai concert, we’re looking for cheerful winter compositions. The selected songs will be performed by their composers during the big concert stream, where they can show off their skills to hundreds of fellow Adventurers LIVE!”
