Yar in for a treat in Black Desert Online with the recent addition of a new card-based mini-game for the PC version called “Yar!”. The mini-game is based on Poker and Yacht with special titles in store for players who rack up the required number of victories against other players or against NPCs. Here’s how it works:

“The basics revolve around drawing cards a set number of times each turn in order to assemble the best hand of 5 cards to score the maximum number of points possible. You go back and forth with your opponent, committing hands to accumulate points each turn. Strategic planning and a bit of luck are both important factors in winning a game against another Adventurer in Yar!, so embrace the tides of fortune while trying to outwit your opponent.”

In addition to the new mini-game, the latest PC update also marks the end of 2021’s Season+ server and kicks off several new in-game events, including one featuring the card game. There’s also an event that involves taming horses, one that grants a 50% mount EXP buff, an Atoraxxion – Sycrakea clearing event, and new login rewards for December.

Event details can be found on the Black Desert Online official site. You can also browse through the latest PC patch notes here.

Pearl Abyss has also rolled out a patch on consoles that fixes a problem with one of the main quests in Serendia and temporarily disables the Red Battlefield due to stabilization issues that have caused the game to crash when entering the instance. The team also reminds Season+ players that the progression server will also be coming to a close on consoles on December 8th.

Finally, the team announced the schedule for Calpheon Ball 2022 which will be held on December 11th for PC and console players and December 12th for mobile players. Like previous iterations of the event, players and fans can look forward to content reveals, showcases, and community activities.
