Black Desert Online Rolls Out Big Quality Of Life Update
Black Desert Online has received a big quality-of-life update this week featuring improvements to various game systems and content. Of significant note is a new questline to help players learn the fundamentals of farming and the addition of a skill instructor in the Battle Arena.
“Tachros, the Skill Instructor of Velia, has come to the Battle Arena so you can more conveniently change skill add-ons and skill presets. You can now meet ‘Battle Arena Skill Instructor’ Tachros in the Battle Arena anywhere to learn skills, as well as change skill add-ons and skill presets. We had our concerns about the Battle Arena becoming bigger and bigger to replace the roles that villages play. We thought it'd be more meaningful to draw out the most usability since skills are factors that directly affect combat.”
The update also comes with adjustments to Maehwa and Shai and various improvements to the UI, monster spawns, items, privacy mode, and more. The full patch notes can be found here if you want to get into the details.
In other Black Desert Online news, Pearl Abyss will be holding the next CalpheON stream tomorrow, March 26th at 1:00am PDT where we’ll probably be hearing more about the upcoming Eternal Winter expansion.
The studio is also planning an invite-only meet-and-greet event called Voice of Adventurers next month at PAX East Boston. To score an invite, you’ll have to personally submit a story about your gameplay experience and be selected by the team to join the event and afterparty.
