Pearl Abyss has introduced a new O’dyllita questline in Black Desert Online’s console version as O’dyllita Part 2 arrives with the fantasy MMORPG’s latest update. The update also opens up the new Narcion Hunting Grounds featuring new monsters to hunt and new rewards to earn by way of a new material that can be looted from the new hunting mobs.

“New Hunting monsters have settled down in the southern fields of O’dyllita, Narcion,” announced the studio. “You can obtain the Breath of Narcion by defeating these monsters from which you can make a higher tier Matchlock. Also, completing the new Hunting questline will allow adventurers to learn new actions that makes quick use of the Matchlock.”

Breath of Narcion can also be used to craft special stuffed furniture that grants a one-hour buff. These furnitures can also be upgraded to increase the duration of the buff to three hours. Upgrade mechanics for other stuffed furniture will also be added in the future.

The update also comes with an extensive list of changes and gameplay improvements to make life easier for new adventurers. These include making several level 2-6 skills learnable at level 1 and having players below level 20 revive at full health. The team has also updated the UI for accuracy by adding a “Miss” effect when attacks miss. This should help players better understand what’s happening during combat and allow them to react accordingly, especially when they’re facing higher level mobs.

Pet looting has also been improved so that pets will now prioritize looting rather than following a player around. “Previously pets had to follow the character when the character moved, so the more the character moved, the slower the speed of picking up loot,” explained the devs. “After this change it is expected that the chance of missing loot even when moving around a lot will be eased.” Players will also be able to use pet skills without interrupting loot collection.

The pet looting improvements also apply to the PC version of the game. The rather lengthy patch notes can be found on the Black Desert Online console website for you to examine at your leisure.
