Black Desert Online To Launch New Shai Class On June 26th, Pre-Creation Event Now Live
Good things come in small packages. But don’t be fooled by Shai’s cute looks, curious personality, and diminutive stature. What she lacks in height, she more than makes up for with her giant boomerang and support skills. The adorable boomerang-throwing trickster will be making her way to Black Desert Online on June 26th.
“A mischievous being from the forests near Florin, Shai throws a powerful Florang— a boomerang-like weapon that hits enemies before finding its way back to her. Shai also wields the mystical Vitclari, a small glowing trinket that heals and protects her allies.”
Aside from her boomerang and her ancient trinket, Shai also has the ability to reveal hidden enemies, protect allies with “Shai’s Domain”, and trick enemies into thinking that she’s dead. Her small size allows her to evade attacks with ease and stay at the perfect range to use her boomerang. She is also highly-skilled in Alchemy and Gathering.
If you’re wondering about Shai’s child-like appearance, there’s an interesting lore piece over at the Black Desert Online site that should satisfy your curiosity. “Shais do not age like humans,” writes the devs. “They age considerably slower than humans of the world, and even Valentine, the oldest of the Shais, still looks like he is in his early 20’s even though he is 110 years old by the Elion Calendar!”
