Black Desert Online Starts Lunar New Year Event, Adjusts Black Spirit Skills And Red Battlefield

Black Desert Online has kicked off Lunar New Year festivities on PC with the return of the annual Lucky Rice Sieve of Good Fortune event.
During the event, players will be awarded one Lucky Rice Sieve a day per Family upon accumulating 60 minutes of playtime. The Lucky Rice Sieve can be exchanged for the Tender Braised Short Ribs event item which grants +5 extra damage to monsters and a 10% boost to item drop rates for 60 minutes. There’s also a 21-day login event where players can earn additional rewards such as Caphras Stones and a whole month of Artisan’s Blessing.
In addition to kicking off Lunar New Year celebrations, the team has also made adjustments to Black Spirit skills across the board and made significant changes to the Red Battlefield: Valencia City and the Red Battlefield content in general.
“[. . .] We changed the details of the rules for a more enjoyable Red Battlefield experience. Our main intention was to provide a way to make a breakthrough in situations where there would be less opportunities to turn the tables around as all of your conquest areas were ruled over or there was a dramatic difference in points. Therefore, we made changes so that the DP restriction debuff would only be applied to the team occupying the conquest area when breaking through the major conquest areas completely blocked by your opponents. Also, you can now earn some of the points earned at the conquest area when you successfully occupy one. With these changes, it is possible to both defend and come up with strategies to carefully invade and occupy areas.”
The full patch notes can be found on the Black Desert Online official site.
