Black Desert Online Steam Launch A Massive Success, Hits ~19K Concurrent Users
A mere 5 days after launching on Steam, Black Desert Online hit ~19,000 (rounding up) concurrent users and that number seems to be increasing everyday. With ~19,000 concurrent users, Black Desert Online is currently the most popular MMORPG on Steam (Second if you count Warframe as an MMORPG). This is remarkable because Black Desert Online isn't a new game. It launched over a year ago in North America and Europe and players who purchased the game off Steam can't transfer their accounts over to Steam, which means almost everyone playing on Steam is a new player. I say almost because I'm sure several people re-bought the game for the convenience of playing it through Steam.
Black Desert is currently only sale until May 31st and can be purchased for $6; the price is set to jump back to $9.99 afterwards. Black Desert does a lot right. It has gorgeous graphics, a large persistent open world with no zoning, and fun action combat. If you've never played it you're missing out on one of the biggest MMORPG launches of the last few years. If you're too stingy to pay $6 for the game you can still check it out for free with its 7 day free trial. MMOs.com awarded Black Desert Online the best MMORPG of 2016 for a reason - so check it out!
