It's almost one year since Blade and Soul released in the West, and to celebrate you can attend the 1st Anniversary Festival event, starting January 18th and lasting until February 8th. The Hongmoon Store will have a present containing plenty of goodies. And while the festivities last, players can collect special coins to be turned in for rewards, such as a new costume and consumables.

Various in-game buffs and bonuses will also be available, along with a new exclusive costume for 365-day Premium Membership card-holders.

The anniversary is part of an update, and that means a few changes are coming to the Blade and Soul universe. Soon, weapon skins will be removable, so you can strip them from a weapon and reapply them to another.

And pets will soon become salvageable—not something I would tell my cat—so that you'll be able to separate your pet's stats from its appearance, and apply your pet's appearance to any Pet AuraGemstone.

Blade and Soul's anniversary update goes live on January 18th.
