It's been less than a week since Blade and Soul launched in the West and it is already skyrocketing in popularity. Proving that it was perhaps the most anticipated title of the year even despite originally launching in Korea almost four years ago, the game has already passed the one million player milestone. If you're wondering why your queue times are still high, remember that you're potentially fighting at least 999,999 other people for a spot.

NCSoft West's CEO Dr. Songyee Yoon had the following to say about hitting the one million player milestone: "It is thrilling that so many people are excited about the arrival of Blade & Soul in the West, and we will continue to work tirelessly to make sure our amazing players have a great time in this epic game." Senior Vice President of Publishing John Burns followed with this statement: "The sheer enthusiasm – not to mention volume – of North American and European players that have jumped into Blade & Soul since launch has been tremendous."

NCSoft West has promised a "regular cadence of content updates and patches" for Blade & Soul in the future. If you have yet to join in, you can download the game at any time via the official website.
