Blizzard Entertainment 3D Artist Confirms Warcraft Mobile Game Is In Development

Since 2017, there have been rumors that Blizzard Entertainment is working on a Warcraft mobile game. Those rumors were confirmed earlier this month when the company’s executives revealed that multiple Warcraft mobile games are already in advanced stages of development during their Q4 2020 investor call.

The announcement was further validated with a tweet from Clayton Chod, a 3D environment artist at Blizzard. “We are indeed working on a Warcraft Mobile game,” he wrote. “I’ve actually been working on this game for most of my time at Blizzard and it really is an amazing team!”

Chod has been working at Blizzard since 2016 which means that the 2017 rumors probably had some merit.

Whether the upcoming mobile title will be a spin-off of World of Warcraft or the original Warcraft strategy games however still remains to be seen. But we can always speculate while we’re waiting on the official reveal.
