Blizzard Entertainment has reportedly canceled a World of Warcraft mobile MMORPG codenamed Neptune due to a financing dispute with NetEase. Before you panic, the canceled game isn’t a direct port of the classic MMORPG but rather a spinoff set in a different time period. It also isn’t the mobile strategy title Warcraft Arclight Rumble which is still in development, nor is it the Warcraft MMOARPG Orbis which had already been canceled earlier this year.

According to Bloomberg, the game was canceled due to disagreements between Blizzard and the Chinese video game company over the financial terms. Sources also revealed that the game was being worked on by a team of 100 developers which has since been disbanded following its cancellation.

This isn’t the first time that Blizzard has collaborated with NetEase to develop or publish a mobile game. Both companies have worked together on several games in the past, including the recently-released Diablo Immortal.
