Bandai Namco came together this week for its tenth Blue Protocol livestream where they unveiled new features and content coming to the Japanese version of the anime MMORPG. One of the major highlights of the stream was the introduction of a new class called the Blitz Lancer. Viewers were treated to an exclusive glimpse of the Blitz Lancer with high-level gameplay footage showcasing its capabilities within a party setting.

Accompanying the new class will be various class adjustments, new hairstyles, and various events that will reward players with extra XP for defeating specific enemies. Players can also expect lower rune costs, new gacha cosmetic items, new battle passes, and cash shop items.

Next week’s update also promised improvements to the adventure board, mounts, and the party system which will be rolled out sometime between now and October. As for the global version, that’s still slated to launch next year.

In the meantime, all we can do is make do with news and previews from the Japanese version, that latest of which can be found below.
