As Blue Protocol celebrates its launch in Japan, Amazon Game Studios took the opportunity to extend their congratulations to Bandai Namco and provide updates on the upcoming Western release of the highly anticipated game.

In the studio’s latest entry in their “Meanwhile in Japan” devblog series, Executive Producer Sokichi Shimooka and Amazon Games Franchise Lead Mike Zadorojny shared messages regarding the game’s Japanese launch and the road leading up to this significant milestone.

“It’s been eight long years since the development of the concept behind Blue Protocol, but we have finally made it to Japan’s PC launch!” said Shimoooka. “We are grateful to our many fans around the world who have shown interest in this content and who want to travel to this world with us. We are excited to be able to explore Regnas with you all.”

“We’re thrilled for Japanese players to immerse themselves in the world of Regnas and cannot wait for the western community to start their adventure,” added Zadorojny.

Meanwhile, the Japanese team unveiled a new class called Blitz Lancer, a highly mobile and acrobatic class set to make its debut in July. More information about the Blitz Lancer will be released in a future “Meanwhile in Japan” dev blog. Zadorojny also reaffirmed Amazon’s plans to host a PC closed beta later this year.
