CCP Games, developers of EVE Online, celebrate their 20th Anniversary

EVE Online's developer and primary publisher, CCP Games, is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a PLEX sale! PLEX is the primary currency players can buy with real world money, and then PLEX is used for a number of things. Players can sell PLEX in-game to other players, but PLEX can also be used to purchase a number of things, such as ISK, new ships and ship modules, ship skins, Skill Extractors, and more.

EVE Online first launched in Europe and North America in May 2003, as a subscription-based game. EVE Online went free-to-play in 2016, and unlike most games that have gone from Pay-2-Play to Free-2-Play, EVE Online has done incredibly well this past year. Its active player count has doubled, and its 2016 revenues increased 30% over its 2015 revenue.

CCP Games has also released a video, thanking their players for an amazing 20 years. You can check it out here, down below.
