Chibi F2P Mobile Game World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo Announced

Square Enix revealed a new free to play mobile game last week titled World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo. It features chibi characters from the entire Final Fantasy universe. The game's first teaser trailer has been out for a week and the game itself is set to launch in Japan sometime by the end of the year for Android and iOS. There's no word on a Western release just yet, but given how many mobile Final Fantasy games have made it to the West, I suspect World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo will be no exception.

The game’s executive produce is listed as Shinji Hashimoto and the director is Hiroaki Chiba. The game bills itself as a bit of a "casual" experience and will feature some cooperative multiplayer elements.

A lengthier livestream surfaced on November 25th, 2017 but it's in Japanese only. There's some gameplay in the second half of the stream though.
