Chronicles of Elyria developer Soulbound Studios continues to talk the talk while barely walking the walk. Late last month, the studio sent out an alpha feedback form to gather suggestions for its 2024 development roadmap. The controversial studio is apparently working on six projects and wants to know which of them it should prioritize.

The poll was allegedly answered by 500 respondents, although it’s unclear whether that includes those who simply trolled the studio for running away with their money. Soulbound Studios CEO Jeromy Walsh shared the poll results on Discord, claiming that 90% of respondents showed interest in Chronicles of Elyria, while around 44% were still interested in the Kingdoms of Elyria spinoff.

The studio’s other projects include ElyriaChat, ElyriaMUD, Prologue: The Awakening. Kingdoms of Elyria is apparently also divided into two versions: Kingdoms of Elyria: Settlements and Kingdoms of Elyria: Domains. Settlements focuses on the tribes and lands of Elyria, while Domains focuses on diplomacy and political strategy. It’s probably worth mentioning that not one of those has seen the light of day.

The community also reportedly preferred the official forums over Discord for discussions. “Overall, there’s a slightly higher interest in the Discord reopening, but not as much as I expected. Strangely, there was more interest in the forums reopening than in Discord.”

Again, it all looks like busy work just so Walsh can say that he’s still working on the game, which has now been in development for eight years.
