City State Entertainment’s Viking-themed co-op looter shooter Final Stand: Ragnarok, formerly Colossus, has officially landed on Steam Early Access.

“Ragnarök is upon us, and Odin needs heroes! Choose your Champion and stand your ground against thousands of enemies in this action-style, online co-op match and lobby-based PvE battle for the fate of the universe.”

The Early Access version features five playable Champions, matches designed for teams of up to 10 players, and in-game voice chat support for real-time tactical communication. More Champions and support for thousands of players along with other new content and features will be implemented throughout the game’s Early Access phase.

“As we move through Early Access, we’ll be not only building out the core game (which you see now), but also adding additional modes/maps, different size matches for you to play in (we’re starting at 5 players per match until we get enough customers to increase the player count) along with, of course, our version of the ever-popular Season/Battle Pass. FYI, a match will autostart after 3 minutes, regardless of the number of people that are in the matchmaker. We are an independent studio that was not backed by any publisher or outside investor, and this is a truly Early Access game. So please keep that in mind, when you wonder why we don’t have this thing or that thing yet.”

The controversial PvE battle arena turned heads when it was first announced in February 2020 due to the community’s concerns that it might interfere with Camelot Unchained’s development, which had already been delayed prior to Final Stand’s announcement. City State co-founder Mark Jacobs was quick to assure the community that Camelot Unchained remains their top priority.
