Cloud Pirates Prepares to Shut Down with its Final Update, named "Final Frontier"

Cloud Pirates has, with a pang of sadness, announce that the game shall be coming to a close on September 29th. Not having lasted a year, the game took off to having a respectable - as far as small-time MMOs go these days - 568 average players during its first month. However, that number ended up rapidly dwindling, and now Cloud Pirates has seen only 103 average players over the past 30 days.

However, that won't discourage the developers of the game from sending it off with a bang! Effective immediately, all progress is now 50% faster. All content is available for the low low price of 1 Gold. All cash-shop content (that used Rubies, Cloud Pirates' in-game premium currency) is now available for 1 Ruby. To top it off - all Steam DLC is available for free. Publisher My.com is also offering an exchange of Rubies to other My titles.

  • Skyforge (PC, PS4): 1 Ruby = 7.72 Argents (+25% Value Conversion Bonus)
  • Armored Warfare (PC): 1 Ruby = 1.84 Gold (+25% Value Conversion Bonus)
  • Revelation Online (PC): 1 Ruby = 0.75 Aurum (+50% Value Conversion Bonus)

Additionally, Update 1.7, known as the "Final Frontier" Update, has a quite a few list of changes. A new "Horde" style PvE Game Mode, new Custom Matches, increased mode rewards for all modes. New ship guns available for shining thalers - and more. It's always a bit bittersweet to see a game shut down. Farewell, Cloud Pirates.
