Co-Op Shooter Earthfall Launches on Steam, PS4 & Xbox One

July 13 marks the launch of Earthfall, a 4-player co-op shooter set in the aftermath of an alien invasion. The FPS is priced at $29.99 with free DLC updates promised every 4-6 weeks.

Earthfall takes its inspiration from the Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor, and Payday franchises, but adds a few new twists to the familiar concept. Players can deploy defensive structures such as barricades to block enemy hordes and install auto turrets to help gun down oncoming waves of aliens.

But the most interesting feature in Earthfall may be its MixPlay Mixer Integration. Players streaming on the Mixer live streaming service can allow their audience to interact directly by spawning aliens, dropping health packs, and even deciding which player the aliens will focus their attention on!

Set in the year 2031 in the months following an alien invasion led by meteor landings, Earthfall is the third title by studio Holospark. The studio is based near Seattle, and many of Earthfall's campaigns are set in the Washington region.
