Conan Exiles Update 3.0: Age Of Sorcery Expansion Details Leaked

Every few years or so, Conan Exiles gets a huge update that adds a whole host of new gameplay features and content. The next one in line for release is Update 3.0, the details of which have now been fully-leaked just as developer Funcom started teasing its major reveal.

The leak comes in the form of what looks to be the official reveal video for Update 3.0, a.k.a. Age of Sorcery, as shared by MassivelyOP. The video contains various details on the expansion, including the addition of magic in the game. The magic system, however, will be more “physically grounded” compared to other fantasy games to make sure that the game stays true to the Conan Universe created by Robert E. Howard.

Magic in Conan Exiles will be categorized into spells and rituals, with spells being the traditional casting kind while rituals will require players to craft altars and make sacrifices to summon minions, mounts, or even fast travel points.

A Corruption system will also be put in place for magic users. This debuff will have an impact on character attributes and even their physical appearance depending on how much they rely on magic and sorcery.

Funcom will also be introducing new monetization options including an in-game cash shop and a battle pass. The battle pass reward track can be unlocked for free although players will also have the option to unlock progress using premium currency.

Update 3.0: Age of Sorcery is expected to arrive sometime in Q3 2022. In the meantime, you can check out the leaked reveal video below.
