Conan Exiles: Siege Weapons, New Dunegons, Dyes Coming Soon
Conan Exiles is detailing updates to come "very soon" in their latest blog post: trebuchet siege weapons, a dye system, and a brand new dungeon. And there are three new videos showing off each addition, courtesy of PCGames. Funcom has also laid out the framework of their road map.
Trebuchets will not be cheap to build. You'll need to stuff your loin cloths with heaps of stones, because the more stone you can fit into the counterweight, the further you can launch a missile to destroy another player's keep. Based on the video below, you'll have to experiment to line up your siege weapon just right.
When the dye system goes live it should make identifying friendly players—ones in your clan—a lot easier. You will have to collect pigments from the environment to start transforming your armor.
And then there's the new dungeon, home to a treacherous beasts deep in the ruins and protected by corridors lined with traps and hungry monsters. You can take a peak in the video way-way below.
Conan Exiles still expects to fully release in 2018. And more updates will be incoming before then, including animal taming, magic, a settlement system, and The Purge (a feature where a horde of enemies will invade the Exiled Lands and players will have to form alliances to fend them off).
And then there's a new biome: The Highlands. Which is shown off in our banner image above. It's an entirely new climate, that will also introduce a temperature system to monitor.
It all sounds pretty neat and I can't wait to see the game polish itself up so I can return to being a barbaric jerk.
