Counter Strike: Global Offensive Goes Into Damage Control

Counter Strike: Global Offensive has announced that they've been keeping an eye on the fact that their skill-based shooter has gone full on wild wild west. In a "Damage Control" post on their official blog today the Devs have announced that they're going to take action today to rectify the issues. For those of you who didn't have the privilege of playing in the latest patch, the game has been completely taken over by revolver toting cowboys as players have opted out of normal buy options in favor of the extremely strong R8 Revolver. The latest gun had ridiculously damage and armor penetration, with many players dubbing it the "Pocket AWP".

It looks like we'll see an update today for that specific issue and its unclear if other changes that the community are questioning are going to be addressed (like rifle spray patterns for example).
