Crucible Plans Closed Beta Cash Tournaments, Rolls Out Voice Chat And Anti-AFK Measures

crucible character art bannerCrucible may have gone back to Closed Beta status but Amazon Game Studios is still hell-bent on keeping the playerbase active by continuing to run the cash tournaments that have been held every Sunday over the past few weeks. They’ve even increased the cash prizes for the said tournaments.

The more teams participating in the tournament, the higher the cash prize. Tournaments with 15 teams or less will award a $1000 prize pool for the top 4 teams, those with 16-31 teams will get $2,500 for the top 8 teams, while those with more than 32 teams will be rewarded with a $5,000 pool for the top 16 teams.

The developers are also continuing to polish the game and have started rolling out features previously revealed in the game’s development roadmap starting with Voice Chat and stricter anti-AFK measures. As promised, the developers dropped in yesterday to playtest these new features with the community.
