It's nearly been fifteen years since Dark Age of Camelot launched on October 10th, 2001, and celebrations are already being prepped. The entire month of October will be one big party with events, a campaign, and new tournament:

"Now, to celebrate this milestone, we'll have lots going on over the entire month of October," writes Producer John Thornhill. "There will be a new King's RvR Tournament, a new 15-year anniversary housing trophy for all active accounts, some to-be-announced rewards for our veteran accounts, our spooky Halloween event, and we'll launch our new Herald website! We’ll also be firing up a “Come Back to Camelot” campaign (more information will be forthcoming in the next couple weeks but realm point bonuses, traveling merchants, and other events will certainly be included)."

Players can immortalize themselves through the King's Tournament, earning a statue of their character to be displayed in their capital city. But there will only be 9 winners in total.

Active accounts will receive some in-game goodies as well, and numerous contests will be held, including a chance to win a fifteen year anniversary poster.

Version 1.122A of DAoC will be going live this October, followed by the beta version after October, and will focus on Realm vs Realm improvements: "a dynamic under-populated realm bonus system, keep capture bonuses, relic bonus improvements, and many other much-asked-for RvR changes."

If you played DAoC before and have wondered how the game is faring, now is the time to jump back in. Will we see you online?
