Valve Is Rumored To Be Working On A New Gigantic-Like MOBA Shooter Called Deadlock

Valve is reportedly working on a new 6v6 hero shooter according to various leaks over the past week. The rumored game is called Deadlock and is reminiscent of your typical third-person MOBA, with multiple heroes to choose from that fall into various roles like tanks, healers, mages, and assassins.

Matches will also play out like MOBAs, where players kill creeps in order to earn in-game currency that can be used to purchase items and gear. Deadlock puts a unique twist on the mechanic by requiring players to shoot souls from defeated creeps to collect them. Players can also deposit collected souls into Spirit Urns located in the center of the map to gain a souls bonus for the entire team.

Meanwhile, it looks like Valve has started cracking down on the leaks based on a recent tweet by the original leaker Gabe Follower. “I have to stop talking about Deadlock from now on. Completely,” they tweeted. “Please don’t contact me or ask any questions.”

Insider Gaming also penned an article with more information about the rumored game but didn’t mention a release timeline, although speculation puts its release sometime in 2025.
