Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred Expansion Announced at BlizzCon 2023

The first day of BlizzCon 2023 has been packed with new reveals. While the Warcraft franchise is expected to get most of the attention, Blizzard has teased us with the announcement of Diablo 4's first expansion, titled Vessel of Hatred. The expansion is scheduled for a late 2024 release, in line with Diablo franchise boss Rod Fergusson's statement earlier this year that players should expect annual expansions.

A deep dive into the expansion is scheduled for the convention's second day, but for now we know that players will pick up where the Diablo 4 campaign left off. Expect to pursue Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred into a new region known as Nahantu. Veterans of the series first explored this region in the third act of Diablo 2.

A brand new class has also been announced, but it won't be a returning class from a previous title. More information will be revealed in the months to come. For now, enjoy the teaser trailer and check back for more updates!
