Diablo Immortal Adds New Helliquary Boss, Vitaath The Shivering Death

Diablo Immortal players have a powerful new foe to contend with as the ominously-named demon, Vitaath the Shivering Death, makes her way to the multi-platform ARPG. Players will be able to face off against the new boss in the Helliquary provided that they’ve reached the minimum combat rating (CR) required to do so.

Vitaath’s first tier fight requires players to have a combat rating of at least 2,000. In comparison, the previous Helliquary boss, Lassal the Flame-spun, only required a minimum combat rating of 420 for the first tier and 1,640 for the third tier fight. Vitaath’s second tier battle is gated at 2,450 CR while her third-level encounter requires a whopping 3,465 CR to participate.

While hardcore players have already begun to take down the new boss, the massive leap in difficulty has even the best-geared players stuck at the second tier. That includes those who are willing to spend money on the game. This has raised concerns about the timing of Vitaath’s release, especially since most of the community aren’t even close to reaching the required 2,000 CR for the first-level encounter.

Based on Blizzard’s release timeline, Vitaath will be the pinnacle endgame raid for at least a month before a new Helliquary boss is released.
