Dungeon Defenders II's Loot And Survive Patch Now On PS4

Back in July, Dungeon Defenders II's Loot and Survive patch changed the way that Dungeon Defenders II worked. The massive update featured a loot overhaul, among other changes. As of today, this update is now available in the PS4 version. The update may be about four months behind—and the PS4 version is not yet free-to-play—but it seems that Trendy Entertainment are committed to reaching update parity at some point in the future.

Loot and Survive's core is the overhaul of the loot system, including making rare items truly rare. Four new difficulty modes of the "Nightmare" variety await players who dare to take on the challenge. Companion pets can now evolve. There are also more pets available in-game now. The level cap is now 50, up from 25. Talking NPCs were introduced to help facilitate the game's story.

Those interested can buy a Starter Pack on the Playstation Store. I would wait another week, however, as all Starter Packs—the $14.99, $24.99, and $74.99 packs—will be 25% off from December 8th to December 22nd.
