The Harbinger Awakens In Dungeon Defenders II

Dungeon Defenders II's latest update has launched and it is bringing quite a bit with it. The title of the update would appear to be a reference to the latest Star Wars movie and that notion is further reinforced by the costumes and weapons seen in the picture above. Players will be able to obtain several new weapons, including "the Squire’s Crystalline Saber, Monk’s Crystalline Twin-Blade, Huntress’ Bow-Blaster and Apprentice’s Blaster-Caster." These will be unlocked "in tiers as permanent drops" based on the number of people that join the Steam Community group.

Despite all of the Star Wars-esque gear, the team did not forget the holidays. Snowy maps and winter lockboxes have been added to the game. The lock boxes contain "time-limited accessories," including Santa hats, reindeer horns, holiday-themed costumes, and more.

Additionally, all of the regular update content is here. Three "new and returning" maps have been added to the game. Included in these are a "boss battle aboard and airship" and "an old foe lurking in the shadows since the original Dungeon Defenders." The path to level 50 has been smoothed out. Players now only have to be level 40 to take part in the endgame. Loot drops have been reduced, but drops are now of higher qualities and more focused on the class you are playing.
