Electronic Arts Launches Origin Access Premier With Anthem Head Start, Discontinues ‘On The House’ Program

If you’re looking for a little more exclusivity though, you might want to try out EA’s newly-launched Origin Access Premier.

For an additional $15 per month, you’ll gain access to EA’s ever-increasing roster of games plus full access to Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and The Sims 4, DLC’s, expansions, unlimited trials, and to top it all off, you also get Early Access to Anthem when the game comes out on February 15, 2019.

With the launch of Origin Access Premier, however, EA has quietly ended its ‘On The House’ program on Origin. EA has been giving away free games through Origin’s On the House program since 2014 including Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, Mass Effect 2, Dead Space and Plants vs Zombies. Sadly, that tradition has ended as of last week. “Origin On the House will be retired and games will no longer be offered through the program,” said an EA spokesperson in their statement to Rock Paper Shotgun. “This change won't affect any games you downloaded from the service prior to that date--those are yours to keep forever.”
