ZeniMax is paving the way for the release of the next Elder Scrolls Online DLC with a quick look at the Earthen Root Enclave, one of the two new dungeons coming to the fantasy MMORPG as part of August’s Lost Depths DLC.

The Earthen Root Enclave is a four-player dungeon that will send players to the eponymous druid sanctuary to defend it and its collection of ancient relics from a hostile group of druids known as the Firesong Circle and their leader, Archdruid Devyric. “Earthen Root Enclave is an ancient place where druids come to commune with nature,” says Encounter Lead Mike Finnigan. “All are welcome, but it is watched over by the Stonelore Circle. The Firesong, another group, have invaded and attacked, which is almost unheard of in druid society.”

The new dungeon will introduce players to the various druid factions in the Systres Isles and will set the stage for future events in this year’s Legacy of the Bretons story arc. “[…] The attack by the Firesong portends a dark future, and what they seek within the sanctuary is key to the ongoing story moving forward,” teases Finnigan.

The dungeon itself is divided into three distinct areas designed after the elements of Stone, Root, and Air with two bosses and the archdruid waiting at the end of each one. Defeating these bosses will reward players with unique rewards that can only be obtained within the dungeon. These include new achievement and collectibles, as well as a new monster set and three unique gear sets.

The Earthen Root Enclave will be opening its doors when the Lost Depths DLC officially launches on August 22nd on PC, Mac, and Stadia, and on September 26th for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
