Elder Scrolls Online Stadia Players Will Be Transferred To PC Promises ZeniMax

Last week saw the surprise, but not entirely unexpected, announcement that Google will be shutting down Stadia early next year. While users were promised full refunds for all purchases made on the platform, the question remains of what will happen to their game saves and progress when Stadia inevitably shuts down.
Elder Scrolls Online players, however, have nothing to worry about because ZeniMax has got their backs. The studio has promised to move all marooned Stadia players to PC along with all their items and progress. All they have to initiate the transfer.
“We are happy to share that our Stadia players will be able to transfer their ESO accounts to PC, bringing with them all of their progress, including but not limited to existing characters, purchased items, achievements, and inventory,” ZeniMax announced. “Since Stadia players already play ESO on our PC servers, all of their friends and guilds will be waiting for them once they complete the transfer.”
ZeniMax promises to share more information about the transfer process soon. We still have a few months before Stadia closes in mid-January though so there’s still a lot of time to get things in order. You’ll even have enough time to prowl through the new zones and dungeons arriving with the Firesong DLC when it launches on PC on November 1st.
