Elder Scrolls Online Players Furious Over Update 39’s Endeavor System Changes

It’s barely been a week since ZeniMax Online Studios rolled out Update 39 on the Elder Scrolls Online public test server but it’s already received extremely negative reactions from the community. The update promised to give players more ways to earn Endeavor Seals with the addition of new Endeavor types. Unfortunately, players feel that the changes did the exact opposite and only made it harder for them to farm the aforementioned seals.
Players reported fewer open-ended objectives which made the task of collecting Endeavor Seals more tedious and grindy. Others also noted that the new Endeavor goals were heavily reliant on DLC content which puts those who haven’t bought them at a significant disadvantage.
According to one Redditor, the newly revamped Endeavor system now requires players to complete specific dungeons instead of simply awarding Endeavor Seals for completing any daily dungeon, limiting the options for completing dailies.
This is a big concern for the community since Endeavor Seals can be used to purchase crate items from the Crown Store which would otherwise require premium currency to obtain. Unfortunately, ZeniMax isn’t exactly known to be flexible when it comes to player feedback. Only time will tell whether they’ll try a different approach or stubbornly plow ahead despite backlash from the community.
Update 39 arrives on August 21 for PC/Mac and September 5 for @Xbox and @PlayStation. Check out the improvements and changes coming in the weeks ahead. https://t.co/GDeDAHnsqy pic.twitter.com/XCaf1vIaNz
